I guess I will start of with the good first! Megan , ted, and Florida in the girls adolescence unit are gifts from god I swear! You need something they are there in a heart beat! It’s been one year since I got out and I still wonder how they are and still tbh miss our conversations. (I stayed 13 days so I got really close with them) Now on to my complaining and it’s really long so I do apologize. They want you to get fired up. When I got there they took me off every medicine that I was on. They left me with no medicine for days. Then I finally went crazy. Another girl threatened me so we both got punished. She was suppose to get cleared to go off the unit by a doctor and never did but the techs let her off the unit anyway which is actually breaking doctors orders may I mention. I finnaly said something because it was out ragous that I had to stay on the unit while she got to go out without having dr. Approval. I brought it up to a tech named ted and no lie he was an 😇. He made her stay on the unit and took me off and said I dare one nurse to say something about it because all of y’all have been letting these other girls eat special snack such as ice cream and not give her anything tbh I would go crazy to. So I’m going to take her off the unit and I really don’t care. That was amazing to me and ted if you ever read this thank you. Thank you for that. So he took me off the unit. Then the whole next day while I had to stay on the unit by myself he sat with me so I wouldn’t feel alone. The techs and nurses talked bad about my mom infront of me. And dr lice. Oml they should fire him . He told me lies about my mom. He said that my mom said she didn’t want me and all of this stuff which I laughed because my mom would never say that. In the end I’m thankful for Megan ted and Florida and the other techs and nurses were TERRIBLE! I would not go here agian if it were up to me. I’d go to visit ted, Megan , and Florida but other than that this place is the worst! Don’t send anyone here. To end it all Megan Cindy luhu said hey and my mom didn’t steal your shirt (inside joke) Florida I seriously need to find rainbow and sunshine perfume cause you always be smelling great😂🤷🏻‍♀️ And ted❤️ I seriously miss talking to you not gonna lie👏🏻 Y’all all are amazing techs and if y’all get to read this I love y’all 3 dearly❤️❤️❤️❤️

It works if you work it. Keep in mind that this is a " group therapy" based treatment. Its a great cornerstone for those trying to kick the habit.

I was admitted here not just once, but probably about 3 times back in 2014ish. I did not like it while I was there but a few years later looking back and this place really did save my life. If you don't fight the process and the help they are trying to give you it actually can help. Around that time I was in many other psychiatric hospitals and this is the one that truly helped me. They helped me realize a lot of things about myself, one being that I'm an alcoholic. They had occasional AA meetings brought into the facility and that's where the seed was first planted for me. my counselor also gave my a lot of information about alcoholism and my first big book of alcoholics anonymous, which I still have! 4 years later and I am a stable, productive member of society. I still attend AA meetings, have been sober going on 3 years, and use a lot of the skills they provided me with. I stayed inpatient and also did outpatient here. I wouldn't have the amazing life with my new daughter that I have now if it wasn't for this place! Thanks Cumberland hall!!!

Besides the fights and drama on the girls unit, it was pretty good. I got the help I needed

It’s a good hospital. It helps with everything from detoxing to PTSD. Just like any other hospital in this line of work there are some things other do not approve of or think should be allowed, but all in all it’s a great place. The staff are nice and they are caring. It might not seem that way all around but I promise you they are. The food is good and they give you plenty of snacks. They try to keep you as busy as possible but then they also remember that you’re human and sometimes you just need a little break from groups after groups.
